บาคาร่า is a card game that is played at casinos. This well-known casino game is a comparing card game played between the player and the banker. Being one of the simplest card games at the casinos, Baccarat is easy to learn and play. History of บาคาร่า

Some sources claim that the popular card game is dated to the 19th century while others say that it came into existence in the 15th century in France from Italy. Nonetheless, บาคาร่า has been well-liked in France since the 19th century. Baccarat Banque is the earliest form of the game which was played among three players back in those days. Later, it was made a two-player game, making it the modern Baccarat which is known now.

How To Play บาคาร่า (Baccarat) 

Baccarat is full of suspense and intrigue. The popular casino game is however easy to learn and play. A game of Baccarat can have three possible outcomes: Banker win, Player win, and Tie. The participants can choose which side to bet on, either the Banker or the Player. The banker here is not referred to the house.  The players are to guess correctly, whether the banker wins or the player wins, or even if there is a tie each round. Bets are placed on either the banker’s hand or the player’s hand before starting the game. 

After the bets have been placed, the operator draws the first card out of the shoe and places it in the Players Box. The next card is drawn which is placed on the Bankers Box. Two more cards are drawn, one for the Player and one for the Banker. When both the contestants have two cards facing downward on the felt table, they are turned, and the points are announced.  Face cards and tens are all worth 0 points. Ace is worth one point whereas the rest of the cards are worth their number value. The total of the two cards is calculated. If the total sum is more than 10, then the points earned are the value of the second digit of the total. For example, if the cards were 5 and 7, the total sum is 12, but they make up a two-point hand. The hand with the total points closest to 9 wins the round and the bet is all paid to the winner. 

If in the first two cards, the total is 8 or 9 for either the contestants, the round is ended and is called a Natural Win. No more cards are drawn and the bet is paid. 

If the total is anywhere from 0 to 5, then the contestant can draw another card unless it’s a natural win for the other. 

The rules for drawing the third card are always set before the game.

When Banker’s first two cards total:

0 – 1 – 2: Bank draws a card unless the Player shows a natural 8 or 9.

3: Bank draws a card if the Player’s third card is 0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 or 9.

Bank stands when the third card of the Player is 8.

4: Bank draws if the Player’s third card is 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7.

Bank stands when the Player’s third card is 0 – 1 – 8 – 9.

5: Bank draws if the Player’s third card is 4 – 5 – 6 – 7.

Bank stands when the Player’s third card is 0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 8 – 9.

6: Bank draws if the Player’s third card is 6 – 7.

Bank stands when the third card of the Player is 0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 8 – 9.

7: Stands.

8 – 9: Natural Numbers – neither hand draws any more cards. 

No more than three cards can ever be drawn in a round. The hand which totals a number closest to 9 wins the round and the bet. When there is a tie, neither of the hands wins anything. 

When played in a casino, the dealer takes 5% of the winning bets from the Banker’s hand as a commission that goes straight to the casino. That is how the casino makes money in Baccarat. 

Tips and Tricks on Playing บาคาร่า

The game of Baccarat is almost all about luck and you will want your Lady Luck on your arm while you play the game. There’s not much you can do about the cards that are drawn, but you can still have some strategies in mind while betting. 

 

1.   Do not make bets that you cannot afford. Bettors feel the need to increase their betting money while on a losing streak to make up for the loss. However, this may be even worse for you. It is advised not to increase the bets while losing, and infact, do so when you are on a winning streak. It is all about luck! 
2.   The Bankers Hand is usually preferred as is it less risky and it has the lowest house edge of 1.06%. The Bankers Hand also tends to have more wins
3.   Do not bet on a tie as the probability of the round ending on a tie is very slim and hence you may lose a lot. It is the riskiest of the best and is also called a “sucker bet” in Baccarat. 
4.   Never let other people influence your bet. Sometimes pleasing other people can cause you great loss. Do what your gut says and have fun with the game. Remember, losing and winning are all a part of the game.
