Tried this method twice, very carefully, step-by-step, resulting in failed installations. Running Win10 10586.36 in virtualbox, so I only had to reset it to the last snapshot, but it’s frustrating to waste a few hours following faulty instructions and/or products.
I should have been leery, since English and clarity appear to be a struggle for the author, but I really wanted a nice nonflat theme.
I made sure to get all downloads for 10586 and not the older ones. Has ANYONE had success installing to this version?
I did not install either uxstyle or uxthemepatcher. I followed the instructions for downloading the uxtheme patcher and then apply the take ownership command. Renamed the 3 files, replaced the existing files with the patched ones and applied the theme from sagorpirbd.deviantart.com/ for windows 7 aero glass. Everything works great and did not need to install a third party program to make everything work

Is there any chance to get the old alienware themes working for this version of 10 in near future?
This is not really a fix if I can’t use my themes already installed even if I reinstall them they don’t work I get a blank screen and have to do a system restore.

Found I allow special acess/full control for user in properties > security > advanced > User > tick everything > apply
I could not rename files so i use unlocker it worked but not with the two other files.

Not working!!! When you install the theme the screen flickers and you have to restore the system.Tried twice!
