Windows Style Builder is Figuring out the internal format of the .msstyles files took a lot of time; Building an editor to actually modify Visual Styles took even more time.
WindowsStyleBuilder comes with a simple GUI totally focused on editing MsStyles. Since WSB is specially for all windows, it has a Windows look and feel.
Porting Visual Styles to all Windows is made incredibly easy: WSB comes with an Import tool. Your imported theme will even work in all mode and get dropshadows for free!
STREAM image editing is fully supported and totally seamless; STREAM images are handled just like normal images. WSB will take care of everything, including resizing and layout out the stream efficiently.
The Preview window will show exactly how the margins will relate to resizing of an image.
WindowsStyleBuilder gives you full control over your MsStyles file: you can remove or add new properties to every possible part. By adding new properties, new effects such as textglows in the taskbar can be achieved.

When you import a new image with a different size than the original, WindowsStyleBuilder will prompt you what to do with the image.
Clicking the Test button will directly let your pc use the Visual Style you are developing. You also get an window which shows all common controls in their available states.
When you quit test mode or WSB, the Visual Style on your pc will be set back to normal.

Requirements and others
- WindowsStyleBuilder will only work on Windows
- MsStyles created with Windows Style Builder can only run on Windows, with theming enabled and with a so-called patched UxTheme file.
- Editing the ShellFile is not supported.
