Earlier today, mobile game creator Supercell announced that its popular mobile games Clash of Clans and Clash Royale can be played on Windows PCs via Google Play Games. However, that’s not the only announcement about Google’s service for letting Android games play on Windows PCs.

In a blog post, the company revealed that over 3,000 Android games can now be played on Google Play Games on Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Even though the service first launched to the public in January 2022, the service still has a “beta” label and Google has not revealed when that label will be litfted.

Another new feature that’s coming to the service is expanded controller support. Google stated:

Controllers can make PC gaming easier and more fun. We are rolling out console controller support for select games so players can enjoy an even more immersive gaming experience. Try out your Xbox S|X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense, or PS4 DualShock game controller with compatible games, such as Asphalt 9: Legends and BADLAND.

If you have a PC game monitor that goes up to 4K resolution, Google says that a select number of those monitors can now run supported Google Play Games. Games can also press on the press Shift + Tab buttons on their keyboard while in Google Play Games to get a selection of different resolutions.

Finally, there’s a new search feature for the service:

A big request from our players was an easier way to search within Google Play Games. So we recently rolled out a search feature to help you easily and quickly find what you’re looking for. In the “All Games” section, navigate to the search bar at the top and just type in the game you are looking for.

Here’s a reminder for people on the minimal system requirements for Googe Play Games on the PC:

OS: Windows 10 (v2004)
Storage: Solid state drive (SSD) with 10 GB of available storage space
Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or comparable
Processor: 4 CPU physical cores (some games require an Intel CPU)
Memory: 8 GB of RAM
Windows admin account
Hardware virtualization must be turned on

The service recently expanded its reach and is now available in 120 countries.
